There are quite a few reasons that the Spring snorkeling on Maui can be some of the best to be had all year. Spring break is over and the kids are back in school, the rest of the country is back to the normal daily gig. If you live on Maui or are lucky enough to be visiting during the last of April or the month of May, you will notice a certain quiet has settled over the island. The crowds are down and it is apparent everywhere you look. There are few places where the reduction in visitors is more apparent than out on the water. This time of year we may be the only vessel within sight as we snorkel Lana'i. To top off the magical experience of having a place to ourselves, there are still a few whales around! There aren't enough whales around to justify a whale watching tour, but we will stop and do some whale watching on most of our spring tours.
